Well, today the capillary matting and water trays arrived, hopefully making it a little easier to keep seedlings alive without wrecking the house…
I celebrated by sowing the (now very late) Butternut Squash seeds from DigIn, and potted up the trailing tom plugs that also arrived today. So glad I didn’t rely on the DigIn tom seeds, as they arrive far too late to sow – will try and buy some plants from the High Street tomorrow…
Also sowed some perennials – two kinds of Aquiliegia, a Nepeta and a scabious. Plus some parsley, coriander and verbena bonariensis to hedge my bets…
Time will tell, though I think if I had a thermometer in the Dining Room I would be shocked at how cool it gets in there at night, which would help explain the lack of serious growth spurt.
