Well, on the one hand, the carrots are starting to sprout in their tubs, which is encouraging. On the other hand, the seedlings I am attempting to grow indoors evidently don’t think the Dining room is as full of light as us poor humans do! They are growing very leggy, and there is not much I can do about it. I am going to shift furniture to bring them closer to the window, and I will also hack up a box and cover it with foil in an attempt to bring more light to them. But it is very disappointing to see them looking so much less healthy than my attempts last year in the polytunnel, which despite being very cold at times did at least have lots of light. Ah well, live and learn, live and learn…
